Born in Indianapolis in 1934, Michael Graves taught architecture in Princeton, where he would later open his own studio. In the 70s, he became a co-founder of the "New York Five", a group of post-modern architects of high esteem. With multiple well-known projects and awards such for iconic building structures, his style is recognized through European traditions and American pop designs which inspired many of his creations.
Michael Graves’ most famous Alessi project is the 9093 kettle.
Standing as one of the main visionaries of Italian design in 80s, Alessandro Mendini, born in Milan in 1931, has transcended the world of architecture and design. Mendini found himself editing leading magazines on the culture of design and educating others on its need for change, its history and more. Mendini was also the leading artist to take Alessi to the next level with expanding and being recognized as a renowned Italian Design house.
Alessandro Mendini’s most famous Alessi projects include the Anna G. corkscrew and Anna Collection, Alessandro M. corkscew, parrot corkscrew, Proust Collection and the Moka.
From being one of the co-founders of the King Kong group and the Bolidista movement, Stefano Giovannoni, born in 1954 in La Spezia, would become an iconic name in the world of design. Creating many whimsical collections for Alessi from the 90s to more recently, this highly awarded innovator, featured in several museums across the world is a pinnacle to the more fun nature of Alessi projects.

Since the 70s, Michele De Lucchi, born in Ferrara, Italy in 1951, has designed stunning architectural structures and items from industrial buildings to cultural statements. A key style of his involves blending functionality, poetry, essential shapes and natural materials. With several award wins for his craft, this designer stands as a true creative and visionary.
Michele De Lucchi's most known Alessi projects include the Plissé Collection and Pulcina.
